HCCSP at the Energy Saving Trust Roundtable September 2026

On 3 September, HCCSP Manager Helen Burridge joined Energy Saving Trust and representatives from across national and local government and the retrofit sector to explore how lessons from LEVI could help inform delivery of the Warm Homes Plan.

The discussion brought together UK100, MCS Foundation, the National Retrofit Hub and UKGBC, alongside DESNZ, combined and local authorities, and Bill Esterson MP, Chair of the House of Commons Energy Security and Net Zero Committee.

Helen shared HCCSP’s experience of working across both LEVI and retrofit, distinguishing between the very different challenges involved in delivering public infrastructure and improvements within people’s homes. She also highlighted the importance of considering the full retrofit landscape, including grant-funded and self-funded households and different tenure types.

The discussion informed a briefing note setting out key themes and recommendations for Government to support effective local delivery of the Warm Homes Plan which is attached here.

In Hertfordshire, HCCSP’s Retrofit Steering Group continues to progress the Retrofit Action Plan, supported by three years of funding from MCS Foundation.
